The Shine Bright Challenge: A Week of Self-Love and Empowerment

What if you gave yourself permission to shine a little brighter this week? The Shine Bright Challenge is a simple, joyful way to embrace self-love, cultivate positivity, and spread light to those around you. Over the course of seven days, you’ll take small but powerful steps to celebrate yourself, nurture your spirit, and inspire others. A lot of the givers in the world get caught up in self-love being selfish but we've found this is so far from true! Self-love creates such an impact on us that we are able to give more and make a higher impact on the world. Healing yourself heals those around you!


Why Join the Shine Bright Challenge?


Life can feel overwhelming at times, and we often put ourselves last on the list. This challenge is a reminder that taking care of your own light allows you to better illuminate the path for others. By dedicating one intentional action each day, you’ll boost your confidence, recharge your energy, and bring more joy into your everyday life.


How It Works


Each day for seven days, commit to one self-love practice. These are simple acts that don’t require much time, but they can shift your mindset in a big way.


The 7-Day Shine Bright Challenge


Day 1: Start with Gratitude

Write down three things you’re grateful for. Let them be simple and heartfelt. Gratitude is the fuel that sparks joy.

Day 2: Speak Kindly to Yourself

Choose one loving affirmation and repeat it throughout the day. Example: “I am worthy, I am loved, I am seen, I am enough.”

Day 3: Move with JoyDance in your kitchen, stretch, walk in nature, or do any movement that makes your body feel alive.

Day 4: Do Something Just for You

Enjoy a favorite treat, take a quiet break, or indulge in a hobby you love. This is your permission slip to fill your own cup.

Day 5: Share Your Light

Do one small act of kindness for someone else. Send a thoughtful text, compliment a stranger, or surprise a loved one.

Day 6: Unplug to Recharge

Take a break from screens and reconnect with the present moment. Journal, meditate, or simply rest.

Day 7: Celebrate Yourself

Reflect on your week. Write down three ways you shined brighter and celebrate the progress you’ve made. Engage in a mini celebration - or a major! 


Keep Shining Beyond the Challenge


When you nurture your own light, you naturally inspire others to do the same. The Shine Bright Challenge doesn’t have to end after seven days. Repeat it anytime you need a boost, and invite friends and family to join you.

I am on day three of this challenge. I took a 30 minute walk and this is what I saw, what I heard and how I felt: I saw fall leaves turning golden and red. They fell with the soft wind as if they were dancing. I heard birds signing the sweetest song as if they were welcoming in the change of seasons and I felt happy. Happy that I could be in this beautiful story of life. Shine on.
