Favorite Superpower – My own superpower is to radiate love and compassion to every person I meet,  allowing them to truly feel seen and special!

Hidden Talent, Hobby, or Fun Fact – I love sparking joy in another person by doing random acts of kindness!  When I feel their joy, it makes my heart sing!  It’s the best feeling. I also love spending time with all of my children and grandchildren.

What You Love About the Cause – I love raising awareness and empowering people to make choices to live their best life.  Education is powerful!   “Do the best you can until you know better.  Then when you know better, do better”.  -Maya Angelou

Favorite Superpower – I would definitely want my superpower to be talking to animals!

Hidden Talent, Hobby, or Fun Fact – I also do live event painting! Mostly at weddings but really any event.

What You Love About the Cause – There is so much to love about everything that Empower and Shine encompasses. I love the opportunity to be involved in positive growth and Empower and Shine offers endless opportunities to do that! I have so much room to find creative ways to help others which is an absolute dream come true for me. Getting to embrace my artistic spirit while spreading sunshine couldn’t be more aligned with my lives missions. 

Favorite Superpower – I have the ability to see the light in everything, where others may not.

Hidden Talent, Hobby, or Fun Fact – In my free time, I love to travel, especially to Disney.

What You Love About the Cause – I love that we see everyone and are trying to bless and bring light into everyones lives. It makes my heart happy to witness the work we are doing by spreading joy and smiles.

How You Are Involved – I’ve worn many hats with Empower and Shine, and I love all of them. But mostly I’m there to offer support whenever possible. I do love the creative piece of it, like brainstorming crazy ways to spread sunshine. One of my favorites, the infamous “KITCHEN RAID”. Often times there are people behind the scenes that are never seen. During one of our trips to Uganda , I had a crazy idea to storm the kitchen of the hotel(during the dinner rush) and spread sunshine to the people that had been nourishing us after a long day. The Empower and Shine Team showered those hardworking individuals with candy, funky socks, money and loads of LOVE! It is now one of our favorite traditions.

Favorite Superpower – I have two: 1. I can sleep anywhere at anytime. 2. In less than 17 minutes, I can transform from bedhead to polished and poised, showered , complete with a full face of makeup and perfectly curled hair. It’s a gift.

Hidden Talent, Hobby, or Fun Fact – At 50 years old I can still do a cartwheel.

What You Love About the Cause – I love to see the passion and love the Empower and Shine team brings to EVERY effort no matter how big or small the project is. But what I love most, is the Empower and Shine culture. We have perfected the art of seeing the “unseen.”

Favorite Superpower – Spreading sunshine is my superpower. I bring a positive and energetic presence to a place, making it feel brighter and more lively.

Hidden Talent, Hobby, or Fun Fact – My hidden talent is that I can usually tell what time it is without looking at a clock!

​

What You Love About the Cause – I love this cause because it is raising awareness about domestic violence. Learning about abuse can help a person identify abuse if it happens to them. The Journals I hand out to men and women support this issue.

Favorite Superpower – I have always said that I would love to be able to teleport and see my friends and family who live in other places with the snap of my fingers!

Hidden Talent, Hobby, or Fun Fact – I absolutely love traveling and exploring new places, especially with a good book to keep me company.

What You Love About the Cause – Empower and Shine stands for so many of the things that I care about deeply. I have already made such incredible connections, and have been inspired by how many people both near and far are working to help others. Being surrounded by people who genuinely care for others, work to make a difference, and have such positive, inspiring spirits has been truly special!

Favorite Superpower –Based on experience, my superpowers are positive energy and excitement for living. These superpowers are essential to motivate others into action.

Hidden Talent, Hobby, or Fun Fact – I consider my hidden talent the ability to leverage professional experience to quickly engage with those in need. It is vital to establish a foundation of trust and mutual communication.
