Introducing the Keep Her in School Pad Project

Some partnerships begin with a handshake. Others are built over years of friendship, trust, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

Our partnership with Ronald Musabe and Rotary Club of Maya is one of those relationships.

Over the years, we've worked side by side on projects that have made a lasting impact, including God's Will Preschool. Along the way, we've celebrated milestones, laughed until our sides hurt, danced whenever the opportunity presented itself, tackled challenges, and built friendships that mean just as much as the work itself.

Now, we're excited to begin the next chapter together.

A Simple Idea That Can Change a Life

For many girls in Uganda, something as natural as menstruation can become a barrier to education. Without access to menstrual hygiene products, some girls miss school every month, making it harder to keep up with their classmates and pursue their goals.

The Keep Her in School Pad Project is a collaborative effort between Empower & Shine, Ronald Musabe, Rotary Club of Maya, and our longtime partners at Shalom Junior Trust School. Together, we're building a sustainable project that will provide reusable menstrual hygiene kits, menstrual health education, and ongoing support for girls in Uganda.

As the project grows, Shalom Junior Trust School will serve as a trusted home for supplies and journals, helping ensure these resources remain available for the girls who need them.

When girls stay in school, they gain confidence, opportunity, and the chance to shape their own future. Something as simple as access to menstrual hygiene products can remove a barrier that no girl should have to face alone.

How You Can Help

Right now, it costs approximately $10 to provide one girl with a reusable menstrual hygiene kit. Each kit includes reusable menstrual pads, underwear, essential hygiene supplies, and menstrual health education—giving girls the resources they need to stay in school with confidence and dignity.
