Quote of the Week
“Sometimes the brightest lights shine, without saying a single word.”
— Nikki
This week’s quote came from our friend Nikki after she sent me photos of her two smiling pups, Oliver and Archie. She wrote, “I thought of Empower & Shine when I took this picture of them shining their light of love with their smiles.”
A few days later, I came across a story from New Life Center about a mama cat and her newborn kitten who had found safety on their campus. The sweetest part? They had been named Nikki and Bill after two generous supporters who faithfully give each month because they care deeply about children…and animals.
As I read their story, Nikki’s words immediately came back to me.
The brightest lights don’t always come from grand gestures. Sometimes they come from a smile, a wagging tail, a tiny meow, or someone simply choosing to care.
Because that’s how kindness works.
It spreads from one heart to another.
And often, it never says a single word.
